About Don Bailey
I was born in Delta (20 miles north of Montrose) and raised in Colorado. I lived a few years in the Chicago suburbs where I obtained my real estate license in 1974. I've been a full-time licensed Realtor in the Montrose area since 1980.
I feel very proud to be a member of the Montrose community. The high quality of life is the primary reason for living here, yet the stunning scenery and unlimited recreational opportunities may have something to do with it, too. Sailing on beautiful Ridgway Reservoir is my favorite pastime. I have really enjoyed raising and educating my children here.
Some of the community organizations I've been involved with include the Montrose Association of Realtors; Western Colorado Congress; Valley Land Conservancy; Kiwanis; Red Coats; Chamber of Commerce; Whole Life Network, Horsefly Volunteer Fire Protection, KVNF public radio and Gallerya Youth Center; serving on the boards of many of these organizations.
I have served as the Chairman of the Montrose Association of Realtors for three terms. I have served as the Colorado Association of Realtors Director for the Montrose Board of Realtors and as the CAR Northwest District VP. I was named Realtor of the Year in 2010 and 1992.
My business philosophy is basically service oriented. I love to share my knowledge of the area and my professional experience to help buyers find that perfect place and to enable sellers to get the best price for their property. The four cornerstones of my business are service, integrity, knowledge and experience.
I feel that one of the most effective things a Realtor can do is to maintain open lines of communication. I am happy to communicate in whatever form is most convenient for you: by phone, e-mail or text message. I am available to talk to you at any time: at the office, at home or by cell phone when I'm traveling. It's just as important to me that you can reach me as it is to you. My wife Ellen assists me at the office and would be happy to help you at those times when I am in a meeting or at a showing.
I have received numerous awards for sales productivity during my career as a Realtor, but the best reward for my work efforts are the many happy and satisfied clients that I have helped to buy or sell a home, land or business. For many people, buying or selling real estate is one of the biggest financial decisions that they will make in their lifetimes. Seeing to it that my customers are pleased with their outcome is what makes my work satisfying and purposeful for me.
I recently moved back to Coldwell Banker Bailey & Company after being associated with RE/MAX for 16 years. It truly feels like I've returned home to be back with Coldwell Banker.
If you are looking for a Realtor with competence, integrity and motivation who knows how to communicate and negotiate - call or e-mail, whichever you prefer.
Let me put my experience to work for you!
